Prerequisites:

Pre-Upgrade Steps for Build Version 2.1.1.1

Build 2.1.1.1 updates internal files associated with the existing service. Remove the existing service before installation to prevent upgrade conflicts.

Recommended Approach (Primary Method)

This method is the preferred approach for upgrading.

  1. Stop the LDAP Agent.

    • Open the LDAP

    • Locate  AuthX AD Agent

    • Stop the service.

  2. Delete the service.

Open the command prompt as administrator and run:

    SC delete AuthX AD Agent

  3. Uninstall the existing LDAP Agent.

    • Navigate to Programs and Features.

    • Uninstall the existing agent build.

  4. Install Build v2.1.1.1 and complete the setup as per the standard installation steps.

Alternative Approach (Fallback Method)

Use this method only if the recommended approach cannot be completed (for example, uninstall issues or service not removable via UI).

  1. Open the Command Prompt as an administrator.

  2. Check if the existing service is present.

    Run:

    sc query AuthX AD Agent

The existing service appears in the results. If not, proceed with installation.

  3. Remove the existing service.

If the service is present, run:

    sc delete AuthX AD Agen

  4. Verify service removal.

Run the following command to confirm:

    sc query AuthX AD Agent

  5. Install LDAP Agent v2.1.1.1

    Note

    - The service name remains unchanged.

    - A cleanup is required due to underlying file updates to prevent upgrade conflicts.

    - This step ensures a clean and stable installation of the new build.

    • Improved agent performance and stability.

    • Resolved connectivity-related issues.

  4. Added a new column in the LDAP Directory Sync page to display the last Health Check Response.
