### Overview

The **AuthX Plugin** is designed to streamline the login process for web applications by securely storing log in information and enabling automatic logins after successful authentication. It supports various 2FA methods such as Push, TOTP, Face, Fingerprint, Phone SMS, Phone Call, RFID, and Hardware Token. The plugin is compatible with Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge and works on Windows. Users can easily manage and access their applications, generate secure passwords, and categorize applications. This guide provides setup instructions for both browsers and explains how to use the plugin for a secure and seamless login experience.

### System Requirements

AuthX Plugin supports Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge browsers.

#### Clients:

- Windows 10 and above

#### Browsers:

- Google Chrome Version 75 and above
- Microsoft Edge 10 and above (only Windows)

#### Servers:

- Windows Server 2012
- Windows Server 2012 R2
- Windows Server 2016
- Windows Server 2019

### AuthX Factor Support

AuthX Plugin supports the following factor types for 2FA:

- Push
- TOTP
- Face
- Fingerprint
- Phone SMS
- Phone Call
- RFID
- Hardware Token

### Setup for Google Chrome Extension

1. Navigate to your browser's **Extensions** menu.
2. Select **Manage** **Extensions**.
3. Search **AuthX Password Manager** from the **Chrome Web Store**.

### Setup for Microsoft Edge

1. Navigate to your browser's **Extensions** menu.
2. Select **Get e****xtensions for Microsoft Edge**.
3. Search **AuthX Password Manager** and click **Get**.

### AuthX User Login

2. Log in:
  1. **For the** **first time logging in:**
    1. Enter your **Email Address** and click **Next**. Alternatively, you may also opt for **Microsoft** login.

  2. **From the second time logging in:**
    1. **AuthX** navigates you to the chosen application in a new browser tab with **AuthX Authentication Factors**.
    2. After successful authentication, the plugin auto-logs into the respective application.
3. Authenticate your login session.
  - 
    1. The portal requires you to authenticate as assigned by your Admin.
    2. In case your Admin has not assigned any authentication process, the portal requests for **Push** authentication by default. ### Plugin Guide

1. **Home**: The homepage provides an overview of all the features and functions available for the applications.

2. **Generator**: The password generator automatically creates a password for users, which users can copy and paste when creating an application. Users can customize the password length, ranging from 6 to 40 characters, and select which elements to include or exclude, such as lowercase letters, uppercase letters, numbers, and random symbols. Users can also refresh the generator to create a new password. 3. **Profile**: The profile displays the login email address and provides two options for users:
  1. **Report a Problem** – If the user wants to report an issue, clicking this will take them to the ticket-raising page.
  2. **Contact Us** – Users may click on Contact Us for general queries or feedback.

1. **Search and Sort Applications**: The search section allows users to type in the input field to search for any created applications. Users can also sort the results and refresh the search to find new applications.

  1. On the **Add Application** page,
    1. Provide the **Application** **Name**
    2. Enter the complete **URL** of the App's login page
    3. The **Username** to the application
    4. Enter the **Password** for the application. Users can click the "AuthX" icon next to the password input field to generate a password. (Refer to the **Generator** section in the **Features** **Guide** for more information on password generation.)
    5. Add the **App's** **logo**.

### **Applications Categories**

3. **All Apps**: All applications created by the user and admin that the user can access are displayed in this section.

5. **Category Name**:
  1. If the **Admin** has created any categories under **Applications** → **Manage Category****,** assign them to the user. They are displayed in the AuthX Plugin.
